Clubs and Organizations
Charlotte has several active clubs and organizations where Tea Party members can get involved with other like-minded individuals.
Here is a partial list:
Common Americans United To Inspire OUR Nation. Off-shoot of the 9/12 project, this group combines the study of the founding fathers and founding documents with perspective relative to current events. They currently meet every Monday from 5:30 until 7:30 at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille located at 911 East Morehead Street in Charlotte.
Campaign for Liberty (website coming soon)
The Campaign for Liberty is a non-partisan organization who’s mission is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity. The group meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30 at Presto Grille in Uptown Charlotte.
North Mecklenburg Republican Women
NMRW is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government as well as informing the public through political education and activity. NMRW supports local charities to better our community and to increase awareness of the Republican Party. NMRW was organized by a group of women who met and worked together for the first time at the Cornelius McCain-Palin satellite office in 2008. By November 2009, NMRW membership was close to 100, and 40 percent are men who are associate members.
Mecklenburg County Young Republicans
If you are 18-40, this is a great group to socialize and network with.
